    Project Description
101 West End Avenue, located on the corner of West 64th Street and West End Avenue in New York, is a concrete building with an approximate gross area of 650,000 sq. ft. There are three sub-grade levels used for parking, two retail floors, 31 residential floors, and two mechanical floors. The elevation of the top of the building is 415 feet.

The building is a reinforced concrete flat-plate structure, utilizing 8-inch thick slabs supported by columns. It is laterally supported by a shear wall frame interaction system. The shear walls are typically 12-inches thick and located in the East, West and North Stair Cores. Above the 13th Floor, the shear walls are reduced in length and perimeter rigid frames are introduced to enhance the lateral load resisting system. The typical Core consists of two c-shape walls, 25 feet long with 8-foot long flanges.
